From May 11 to 13, a survey was conducted on Izu Oshima Island to study the installation of tephra observation equipment. We selected the device’s location by considering the observation environment, such as the tephra fall area in past eruptions, power supply, and communication conditions (T. Miwa, M. Nagai, T. Kozono, T. Maruishi, and K. Takishita).
