  • Period: October 28 (Mon) – November 2, 2019 (Sat)
  • Venue: Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan

2. Outline

ACV will hold the 4th training camp to encourage learning and exchanges between Asian volcanologists. This training camp focuses on Phreatic eruption and its hazard management. Both lecturers and young scientists will share data from active volcanoes and make exercises and discussions to reveal volcanic activity. The contents will be the level for Master, Doctor students. We expect participants from Asian (Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan) and other countries.

3. Contents

1st day (Oct. 28: General Symposium [GS] open to public (governmental people, public general, etc.)

2nd – 6th days (Oct. 29 – Nov. 2): [ACV-FC4]

Focusing Topics: Phreatic eruption and its hazard management

4. Participation

ACV will call for the participation on the Web to the public, but the nomination from ACV member organization is requested. At this moment, the number of students will be about 10 – 20, and Academia Sinica will support the travel and accommodation fee for selected participants (2 – 3 students from each of IN, PH, CH, SK, (JP, SG)).
